Der Fondue Chessel in Keystone

Wow such an awesome place! I was amazed at how friendly and welcoming the staff was! The food was amazing, my family & I had such an amazing experience! By the end of if you are completely full, so much food!!! We will definitely be back next year!

This is the first time I have ever left a 1 star review.... ever. Total and complete rip off. Food has no flavor... the most overpriced meal of my life and worst dining experience I can ever remember. Just so bad! Stay away at all costs.

Very unique dinner experience gondolas to dinner at nighttime with our kids, a bit pricy but understandably so you are paying for the experience! Would definitely do this again with friends and family in town who might not be interested in skiing but would still like to experience the mountains

We took some friends from out of town to this restaurant and felt totally embarrassed. The food portions were very small along with the dipping cheese and chocolate. The wine selection was very limited, one choice per varietal and very low end. The atmosphere was just ok, and nothing that would make you feel you are eating at a very high end place like a Del Friscos, based on its price! The staff was ok but for the price, there should have been someone standing beside our table! We left there feeling like we lost our wallet, you know the sick feeling you have when you do. Anyways, we left there with our friends and apologized to them the whole way down on the gondola ride. The value is simply NOT there for the price, so please don’t make the same mistake we did! Oh well, live and learn as they say, and I say we’ll never go back!

We had heard such good things, so when we booked our ski vacation, we made reservations three weeks ahead. The restaurant confirmed our reservation which by the way, charged us 10.00 a person to make! (We had 6 people, which cost us a total of $60.00, which we were told was a deposit, and would come off the bill when paying for our dinner. That was fine with us, we’ll do that to get a table at such a great place. However, a few days before our trip they emailed my husband and said our reservation was cancelled due to them CHOOSING to be closed that day and THEY NEVER GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!!! We called three times to get the runaround! I HAVE NEVER in my life been stolen from / scammed like this! STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!

We enjoyed the awesome band and gondola ride across the mountains. They had something for everyone, vegan cheese and chocolate for my wife. Roasting marshmallows in the Flaming Turtle was fun for the kiddos. Getting the grill is the way to go & adding sauce to the meats. By the time we finished all the courses we were full! The building could use a remodel, an upstairs bathroom & some new chairs.The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and provided an exceptional experience.

A member of our party had altitude sickness, and the staff was extremely generous. They excused the charge for our sick member, and gave the rest of us 50 percent off. They went above and beyond to help us. The food was also good, and the service was good. I thank the staff for being so thoughtful and generous towards us.

Rip off and mediocre food aside, it’s as if there is no management, such a disappointment especially because I had heard great things in years past

Sad experience .This is an overpriced place, with bad quality food, waiter that get orders wrong, and food and drinks that take forever. The induction heating element we had did not work well, we were told it was hot enough. The bread was old, did not bring the apple , and the orders on the protein were wrong. Then, some of us had to carry the meet from one end of the table to the other as all similar orders were combined . I'm not going to this place again even if they pay me.The raclette is almost a joke

This place is incredible!! Food was awesome and had great staff and vibe.

We were really looking forward to this place but it was a HUGE disappointment. Especially considering how expensive it is! The food was subpar, the bar was so tiny I had better selection in a hotel mini bar. You have to take two gondola rides to get up there too so be prepared for that if you have small children. We spent more on this dinner than the amazing elegant Christmas Dinner we had at the Keystone Ranch House. If you want to throw away a lot of money then sure, book here. If you want good food, go absolutely anywhere else.

Awesome fondue experience with live music you almost feel like your in Munich Germany. They definitely give you enough food to leave full. If you have not tried this place out you should. Great service and great food just expect to spend at least 3 hours from the gondola ride to cooking all the food.

The service was great, and the staff was very generous and kind.

Unlike another review, our granddaughter had altitude sickness and all we got was "sorry, maybe someone else can eat her food". The atmosphere was very nice and the music was enjoyable, the service was sub par, and the food was so so. The Melting Pot in Fort Collins Co. is basically the same, but the amount of food there is about 3 times more in quantity. Of course you aren't eating on the top of a mountain...but still $375 for 3 adults and one child is too high for what you get.

Previously this restaurant was a 5 star. It has dramatically changed for the worse. We have been coming here for years, but this time was different. It used to be a racklett style for everyone. But now it's cooking in a bowl Listen, avoid this place at all costs. The whole experience is disgusting. You cook raw meat in a broth and it's very hard to keep your skewer straight. It's hard to determine if your food is cooked appropriately or not. On top of all that, it's extremely over priced for the amount of food you get. Stay in town and eat there. Would rather have taco Bell. Who spends 72$ to cook their own food....per person!

We were visiting from Maine for Christmas and our family members from Keystone took us here. What an incredible place! The ride up the mountain in the Gondola was fun and cozy with the blankets provided. Once inside we grabbed a few drinks at the bar while waiting to be seated. The warm Gluwein was delicious and a nice treat by the fire. Dinner and of course dessert were amazing too!! This was one of our most favorite places we visited and we will definitely be back again!

Not only was the food phenomenap, but the service was outstanding! Cooper and Marissa worked as a seamless team, they were attentive, professional yet genuine, and made the whole experience a once in a lifetime event. By the end I felt as if me and my family were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Couldn't have asked for better! Thanks to the entire Fondue Chessel team for a night to remember!
